Responsibilities:

  • Conduct comprehensive vulnerability assessments and penetration testing of embedded systems to identify potential security weaknesses.
  • Analyze and understand the software architecture of embedded systems to identify vulnerabilities and potential attack vectors.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design and implement detection and testing systems for detecting embedded system vulnerabilities.
  • Develop and implement mitigation strategies to address identified vulnerabilities and enhance the overall security posture of embedded systems.
  • Work closely with embedded software developers to provide guidance and support in implementing secure coding practices.
  • Stay updated with the latest security threats, vulnerabilities, and industry best practices related to embedded systems.
  • Participate in security audits and compliance assessments to ensure adherence to relevant standards and regulations.
  • Provide mentorship and technical guidance to junior engineers in the field of embedded system security.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in embedded systems development with a focus on security vulnerability assessment and mitigation.
  • Strong background in software development, with expertise in languages like C/C++ and Assembly commonly used in embedded systems.
  • In-depth knowledge of common security vulnerabilities and attack vectors in embedded systems.
  • Familiarity with security assessment tools and techniques for embedded systems.
  • Experience in conducting security testing, vulnerability scanning, and penetration testing of embedded systems.
  • Understanding of secure coding practices, cryptography, and authentication protocols in the context of embedded systems.
  • Knowledge of relevant security standards and regulations related to embedded systems, such as ISO 27001 or IEC 62443.
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills to identify and address security vulnerabilities effectively.
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams.
